Her master’s research focused on the use of infrared radiation to measure thin film thickness in various applications and led to the award of Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) funding for ongoing study.
Carrie’s engineering career included several years at Boeing, where she developed ultrasound and thermography inspection techniques for the 787 composite airframe.
